Low-Sodium Rub Recipes



Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons snipped fresh chives
  • 2 teaspoons snipped fresh thyme
  • 1 teaspoon snipped fresh oregano
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/8 teaspoon coarse salt

Directions

In a small bowl combine chives, thyme, oregano, chili powder, cumin, red pepper, and salt. Use the mixture as a rub on 1 pound raw meat. Cook meat as desired.

Makes: about 2 tablespoons mixture

Start to Finish: 5 minutes
